Today Action-Figure.com got a look at several new figures heading our way. Said figures are based off characters from a couple upcoming movies. First up we’ve got a look at the newest Jason Voorhees figure. Check it out above. The figure is based off Derek Mears’ Voorhees from the upcoming FRIDAY THE 13TH. As you can see, it’s the ‘sackhead’ Jason as opposed to the ‘hockey mask’ Jason. All good.
This figure comes as part of the Cinema of Fear series under the tag of ‘Previews Exclusive.’ The figure stands at 7” and has some pretty insane detail. It’s coming our way in blister card packaging and comes with accessories, one of which is obviously a mini-pickaxe. I don’t know what it is… but this Jason is hitting me as one of the best Jason figures I’ve seen. The detail rocks pretty hard. Just click through above to check out a larger shot.
Next up we’ve got a better look at several figures heading our way from the potential Summer blockbuster TERMINATOR: SALVATION. While the movie is actually looking pretty awesome… these figures aren’t. Sorry, but they’re just not looking like they’re worth shelling out some coin. Then again, these do seem like a children-based line as opposed to a collector’s line. But alas, they’re T4 figures so I’m here to tell you about them!
We’ve already given you the good word on most of these figures. But now we’ve got even more as well as some more pics from Action-Figure.com. Before we get into the figures though, let me tell you that Playmate Toys are going all out with their TERMINATOR stuff. Along with these figures, we can also expect: ‘battle-ready replica vehicles; and signature role play items: the TERMINATOR T-600 Voice ‘n’ Vision Skull with authentic red light-up eyes, voice changer/sound effects, the TERMINATOR Deluxe T-600 Fist that vibrates, fires and emits sounds, and SKYNET playsets.’ Along with lots of other stuff.
