A new report coming out of Variety says that Paramount Pictures is in final negotiations for The Lost City of D to add Channing Tatum to star opposite Sandra Bullock in the upcoming action-adventure flick. In the film directed by Adam and Aaron Nee, Bullock stars as a "reclusive romance novelist who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum), until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger — and more romantic — than any of her paperback fictions." The thrill-seeking project stems from an idea by Seth Gordon, with Dana Fox (Disney's Cruella) in charge of updating the script. Bullock is producing via her Fortis Films studio alongside Liza Chasin for 3dot Productions, with Gordon also producing through his Exhibit A Films.

Tatum has been quite busy as of late. He recently wrapped production for his directorial debut Dog, in which he stars and co-directs with his producing partner Reid Carolin. The upcoming film centers on an army ranger and his dog who embark on a road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway to attend a friend's funeral.

Tatum is also in the midst of contributing to America: The Motion Picture. Tatum stars as the voice of George Washington for the upcoming animated comedy, which also features the voices of Simon Pegg, Judy Greer, Bobby Moynihan, Killer Mike, Amber Nash, Lucky Yates, and Raoul Max Trujillo, among many others.
