Lovely Bones delayed

JoBloJoBlo

There were some recent rumors of creative tension on Peter Jackson’s adaptation of THE LOVELY BONES. Historically, this sort of thing has been a behind-the-scenes mainstay in Hollywood and beyond, but now every detail of a film’s production tends to be blown out of proportion and delivered to the world at the speed of broadband.

It also often ends up not being a big deal, but is there actually something to it, in this instance? All I know for certain is that Paramount has informed us that the movie has now been pushed back from its intended release early next year to the vague “Fall 2009”. The movie is based on the bestselling novel by Alice Sebold and revolves around a murdered teenage girl telling her story from Heaven.

You’ll recall that the project has already seen some shakeup — Ryan Gosling was replaced by Mark Wahlberg just days before filming started due to the obligatory “creative differences”.
