Well this new flick heading our way seems really intriguing. Mostly because we don’t know what the hell we’re dealing with here! The movie is called ALTITUDE and the good word comes from The Hollywood Reporter.
We’re informed that 90210 star Jessica Lowndes will be starring with Marvel comics artist Kaare Andrews making his directorial debut. Lowndes (pictured) will be playing a rookie airplane pilot whose weekend getaway flight with friends faces a series of unexplained malfunctions. The indie thriller comes from Escape Factory and Foundation Features and is set to start production next month around Vancouver. The script was written by Paul Birkett with Ian Birkett producing. The group of Rob Merilees, Dave Valleau, Gary Hamilton and Mike Gabrawy are all executive producing the project. Alliance Films will be handling Canadian distribution while Arclight Films takes on worldwide duties.
So wait… ‘unexplained malfunctions?’ What the hell are we dealing with here? Luckily for us the guys over at ShockTillYouDrop didn’t wait long to ask around a bit on what’s going on with ALTITUDE. They had a chance to speak with Lowndes about the film and the hottie drops a couple interesting notes on ALTITUDE but doesn’t divulge much. Here’s a bit of what she said:
“I play a student on her way to getting her pilot’s license and I take my friends to a concert. As I’m taking off, there’s a technical malfunction and everything goes wrong….it’s going to be crazy because it feels like a thriller, then it turns sci-fi, then horror. It’s a mix of everything.”
