Margaux: Lochlyn Munro & 3 more join Steven C. Miller horror film

Last Updated on August 10, 2021

Over the last thirty years, Lochlyn Munro has been building one hell of a screen acting career for himself, earning credits on over 250 projects along the way. In the mix are several genre films, including Needful Things, Dracula 2000, The Predator, and Freddy vs. Jason. Now another one has been added to the list, as Munro has signed on for a role in director Steven C. Miller's new horror thriller Margaux

Munro joins a cast that includes Madison Pettis (American Pie Presents: Girls' Rules), Vanessa Morgan (Riverdale), and Richard Harmon (Continuum). Also newly announced as cast members are Jedidiah Goodacre (Finding You), Jordan Buhat (Grown-ish), and Phoebe Miu (Upload).

Written by Nick Waters and Chris Beyrooty, Margaux follows

a group of college friends who rent a smart house for a weekend of partying. However, they slowly start to realize that Margaux, the house’s super advanced AI system, has sinister designs for them.

Houses with AI systems that go bad seem to be the new thing in horror. A couple other projects with similar set-ups were recently announced, and Maika Monroe had to deal with a house's AI in a movie called Tau.

Brad Krevoy is producing Margaux through his company Motion Picture Corporation of America. Motion Picture Corporation of America's Eric Jarboe, Amanda Phillips, Amy Krell, Lorenzo Nardini, and Charles Cohen serve as executive producers alongside Waters and Beyrooty. Jamie Goehring's Lighthouse Pictures is producing in Vancouver, where filming is currently underway.

Miller's previous directorial credits include Automaton Transfusion, Scream of the Banshee, The Aggression Scale, Under the Bed, Silent Night, Extraction (the one with Bruce Willis), Submerged, Marauders, Arsenal, First Kill, Escape Plan 2: Hades, and Line of Duty. I always make sure to watch anything Miller makes, so I'll be watching Margaux as well.
