Elle Fanning Goes to Extremes to Make Some Honest Cash in the Heartening Trailer for Margo’s Got Money Troubles

Some people say money is the root of all evil, and after spending several years in a world that keeps getting harder to manage, thanks to inflation, a failing job market, and more, I see what they mean. For Elle Fanning‘s Margo in the new trailer for Margo’s Got Money Problems, money is in short supply, she’s got a kid on the way, and she’s willing to do almost anything to make ends meet.

When Does Margo’s Got Money Troubles Premiere?

Today, Apple TV revealed the trailer for Margo’s Got Money Troubles, starring and executive produced by Academy Award, Emmy Award, and Golden Globe Award nominee Elle Fanning; Golden Globe Award winner, and Academy Award and Emmy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer; and Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Nicole Kidman. Emmy Award winner Nick Offerman and Thaddea Graham also lead the ensemble cast. Hailing from A24 and multi-Emmy Award winner David E. Kelley, and based on Rufi Thorpe’s best-selling novel of the same name, the eight-episode Apple Original series will premiere globally on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, with three episodes, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through May 20, 2026.

What Is Margo’s Got Money Troubles About?

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a bold, heartwarming, and comedic family drama following recent college dropout and aspiring writer, Margo (Fanning), the daughter of an ex-Hooters waitress (Pfeiffer) and ex-pro wrestler (Offerman), as she’s forced to make her way with a new baby, a mounting pile of bills and a dwindling amount of ways to pay them. The series also stars Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden, Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award-winner Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington.

While I don’t have kids, I’ve still got plenty of bills and financial roadblocks to keep things interesting and dire at all times. Every time I catch up, someone else wants a piece. I’m sure you can relate. After watching the trailer, I’m genuinely excited to watch Margo’s Got Money Troubles, as I love all the main players, and I’ve been meaning to read the novel by Rufi Thorpe for the past few weeks.
