Yeah, so what better way to challenge the Golden Globe winning Jessica Lange? Pair her up with the pussy from Maroon 5. That’ll work…

No it won’t, but that isn’t stopping Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk from casting Adam Levine (seen right) in the second season of hit series “American Horror Story.” As is the case with all characters, details regarding Levine’s part are being held private at this time. We do know that the returning actors – Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe – will play parts opposite to the ones they played in season one.

“It’s very fun to take a group of actors that you love and say, ‘Come play again,’ ” Murphy said earlier this month. “Every year in the series is about a different haunting, so everybody will be playing the opposite of what they played, which is fun.”

He also stated the following in regards to the season 2 spin:

“A supernatural element will always be a part of the show. But we’re trying to do something more historically accurate. Our only rule is no werewolves, and no vampires.”

“American Horror Story” resumes this fall…
