Martin Scorsese film montage from Golden Globes

JoBloJoBlo

Today, it appears that the general opinion of the Golden Globes was a negative one. People don’t seem to be happy with the fact that AVATAR got best drama nor do they buy the idea of Sandra Bullock as a potential Oscar winning actress. No matter what you thought there was one thing you could agree on, and that is the undeniable talent of Martin Scorsese.

Scorsese was honored last night with the Cecil B. DeMille award. Leonardo DiCaprio gave a perfect introductory speech that lead into a great montage of the director’s films. It ended with a quote from Scorsese that I think all filmmakers should keep in mind, “Movies are the memories of our lifetime. We need to keep them alive.”

So whether you saw it or not, here’s the video including Scorsese’s wonderful acceptance speech. Please enjoy!
