Marvel now publishing Alien and Predator comics!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Due to the Alien and Predator licenses going to Disney (and thus, by extension, Marvel), both franchises have moved from their previous home at Dark Horse comics – where many famous stories of the two titans (including the original version of ALIEN VS. PREDATOR) were told. Now, while there is no word on if these two alien menaces will menace the Avengers or other Marvel cosmic characters, there have been stories of both of them fighting Batman and Superman, respectively, so it's not out of the range of possibility.

Here's what Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski said, in a statement to IGN, who broke the story:

There’s nothing more thrilling than a story that will keep you at the edge of your seat, and Alien and Predator have delivered that time and time again!…I can clearly remember where I was when I saw each of these modern masterpieces for the first time, and reveling in how both masterfully weave extraterrestrial dread and drama into some of the most iconic scenes we’ve ever seen on film. And it’s that legacy that we’re going to live up to! As a visual medium, comics are the perfect place to build on those moments, and we here at Marvel are honored to begin telling these stories for fans everywhere…As our release schedule continues to return, we can’t wait to share more in the coming months!

Editor Jake Thomas added:

The incredible legacies of both franchises offer some of the most compelling and exciting worldbuilding in all of science fiction. It is a thrill and an honor to be able to add to that mythology and continuity with all-new stories set within those universes.

And here are two teaser images by artist David Finch:

So what do you guys think? And who do you think would win is a fight between an Alien and Predator team-up vs. The Avengers? Either way, sound off below!
