The boys over at AICN just scored a first-look sneak-peak of Marvel’s upcoming graphic-novel adaptation of Stephen King’s literary masterpiece THE STAND, and boy are these first images to die for!
With illustrations by Mike Perkins and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa adapting Kings words to the comic page, the new series will be a hefty one, as the novel itself is epic in proportions and really requires an epic effort to faithfully bring it to the comic page.

This is just the first part of a three part series, that’s what! All this week AICN will be showcasing new images, and even interviews with both Perkins and Aguirre-Sacasa. Nice! Hopefully Marvel will be pimping this at Comic Con, and we can bring you even more fun!
In the meantime, head THIS WAY to check out the Marvel sweetness, and be sure to swipe your very own copy of THE STAND comic in stores everywhere September 10th.
