Matrix 4 begins shooting next month in San Francisco!

Lana Wachowski will write and direct MATRIX 4 with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss returning as Neo and Trinity. And today we have word that shooting begins next month. This update comes from a casting call looking for extras for something called PROJECT ICE CREAM, which happens to be the working title of, you guessed it, MATRIX 4. According to the call, filming takes place in San Francisco between February 5th and March 1st.

The cast includes Keanu Reeves (JOHN WICK), Carrie-Anne Moss (SUSPECT ZERO), and Jada Pinkett Smith (THE NUTTY PROFESSOR), Jessica Henwick (GODZILLA VS KONG), Neil Patrick Harris (STARSHIP TROOPERS), Toby Onwumere, Erendira Ibarra (SENSE8), and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (WATCHMEN). On top of directing this fourth THE MATRIX movie, Lana Wachowski will also pen the sequel's screenplay along with Aleksander Hemon and David Mitchell. Wachowski also produces along with Grant Hill. MATRIX 4 begins filming in San Francisco next month.

Warner Bros. has decided to drop THE MATRIX 4 on May 21, 2021, AKA the same date Lionsgate already claimed for JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4.

Whoa.
