20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for THE MARTIAN, and although the latest look at the movie mostly contains footage from the previous trailer, there are some new shots from Ridley Scott's big screen adaptation of the Andy Weir novel. The film boasts an absolutely stellar cast that includes Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, Kristen Wiig, Michael Pena, Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sebastian Stan and Matt Damon as Mark Watney, the astronaut who is stranded on Mars after the red planet is hit by a powerful dust storm.

While Ridley Scott's films as of late haven't really wowed me, I have very high hopes for his new movie. I've heard the book is fantastic, and I'm really digging the trailers. But films set on Mars aren't known for being huge hits at the box office, so I'm interested in seeing how it will perform when it opens in a couple of months.
THE MARTIAN will premiere at TIFF 2015 before hitting theaters on October 2, 2015.
