Matthew McConaughey has been having the kind of career resurgence that established actors can only dream of, and it actually just got better (both for him and for us) with his newest role: the role of Mark Hanna, an “early boss and mentor” of Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in Martin Scorsese’s THE WOLF OF WALL STREET.

You can currently catch McConaughey in KILLER JOE (limited release) – read our reviews here and here and watch an interview with the man himself right here.

Meanwhile, over in Panem THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE has secured Lynn Cohen (MUNICH) for the role of Mags, “an eighty year old Hunger Games victor from District 4 [who is a] former mentor to Finnick Odair.”  Odair plays an important part in CATCHING FIRE, being the winner of the 65th Hunger Games and a participant in the 75th Annual Hunger Games.  And speaking of which:

Plot wise, for the Hunger Games uninitiated, CATCHING FIRE “begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.”

THE WOLF OF WALL STREET will probably see a release in the fall of 2013, possibly even right around THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE‘s date of November 22nd, 2013.
