James McTeigue’s NINJA ASSASSIN is set to hit theaters this Thanksgiving but what’s next for McTeigue? Well the director is already knee deep in THE RAVEN!
It seems THE RAVEN isn’t actuallly based on the classic tale from Edgar Allen Poe, as previously assumed. McTeigue spoke to ComingSoon.net recently where he cleared things up as to what this bad boy is about: “There’s basically a serial killer loose in 1850’s Baltimore and he’s using Poe’s stories as his methodology, so then he leaves clues at each murder and says it’s up to Poe to find him before he kills (again). … [It’s[ a fictionalized account, his last five days. It’s not real.”
So what do you guys think? Edgar Allen Poe chasing down a serial killer? Wow. That seems a bit out there… but I’ll give it a shot! McTeigue is currently in London scouting locations for THE RAVEN. No casting has been announced yet so who do you think should slap on the mustache and portray the famous poet?
