There’s been lots of speculation since this spring on whether or not Derek Mears (Jason Voorhees to you) would be in Nimrod Antal’s PREDATORS. Well, at long last, the actor is talking about it, and apparently it’s a go!
Mears told the Dread Central folks: “People were talking for a couple of weeks but I wasn’t able to confirm. I kept assuring the filmmakers that I was not the leak. Now it’s out there, but I’m still not saying who I play.”
Hmm. Will Mears be jumping into a rubber suit to play a Predator? Or is he one of a group of convicts that are dropped off on the alien planet to fend for themselves against the high-tech hunters? Hope to find out soon… PREDATORS also stars Adrien Brody, Alice Braga, Danny Trejo, Walt Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali and Louiz Ozawa. Topher Grace is rumored to be in the Robert Rodriguez-produced flick, but it has yet to be confirmed. It comes out in JULY 2010.
