The pandemic hasn't slowed down TREMORS 7: ISLAND FURY as it makes its way toward an October release. Filming wrapped at the end of last year, and star Michael Gross – who plays franchise hero Burt Gummer – confirmed that the post-production process was able to continue during the lockdown. He was able to finish his work on the project with some ADR back in May, and now he has taken to his official Facebook page to share a new image of Burt "as we first see him" in ISLAND FURY.
Burt is looking different than he ever has before when the new sequel catches up with him, sporting long hair and a Santa Claus beard. Exactly why he looks this way has yet to be revealed.
We do know that TREMORS 7: ISLAND FURY was directed by Don Michael Paul from a script by Brian Brightly. This time,
the deadly Graboids are back, illegally brought in to a new island resort by a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt.
Gross is joined in the cast by Richard Brake, Jon Heder, Jackie Cruz, Cassie Clare, Caroline Langrishe, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Matthew Douglas, Randy Kalsi, Bear Williams, David Asavanond, Boonma Lamphon, Aukrawut Rojaunawat, Iris Park, Mikey Black, Alex Winters, and Ron Smoorenburg, plus some Graboids, Shriekers, and Ass-Blasters.
While we wait for TREMORS 7: ISLAND FURY, all six previous TREMORS movies can be purchased in this collection. Completists will also want to pick up the episodes of the TV series.
