To go along with the news earlier in the week regarding the new documentary on the HALLOWEEN franchise due July 25th from Anchor Bay, two sequels will be getting the DiviMax treatment the same day.
First up is HALLOWEEN 4, which was probably the last good sequel in the series (unless you count the Producer’s Cut of HALLOWEEN 6). Besides the , we get a commentary by actresses Ellie Cornell & Danielle Harris, a HALLOWEEN 4: Final Cut featurette and .
Next is probably one of the worst sequels in the series, HALLOWEEN 5. Like H4, we get a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 track, a commentary by director Dominique Othenin-Girard, Danielle Harris and Jeffrey Landman, an On the Set of HALLOWEEN 5 featurette and theatrical trailer. Despite not receiving the love from fans like the first film, Anchor Bay at least tried to give us more than just a bare bones DVD for each release, which just proves that the dudes really do care about the genre once again (though why put us through H5 again is beyond me). Both discs will retail for $19.98 each.
