Mirage Man trailer

While the major studios spend hundreds of millions to bring comic book superheroes to the screen, others are taking a more lo-fi approach to masked heroics. Case in point: the Chilean martial arts flick MIRAGE MAN. You don’t see many movies whose tagline dares to declare that “Delinquency will be kicked in the face.” It’s about time!

The movie, which probably cost less than one frame of digitized Spider-Man, involves a street-fighting superhero who cracks many heads with blinding foot power. The flick has been getting positive reception from film festivals (it’s been picked up by Magnet, Mark Cuban’s new indie label)– could it be the new ONG-BAK?
