You guys forgot all about this shite didn’t you? Back at the end of last year we heard about a sequel to Alexandre Aja’s MIRRORS in the works that would be heading straight to DVD. Well we haven’t heard a thing about MIRRORS 2 since December! So what’s the deal here?
Actually we still don’t have a clue what’s going on with MIRRORS 2 but we do have a release date: October 19th! This news comes from the guys over at Dread Central, who caught up with MIRRORS 2 director Victor Garcia at the Screamfest Mixer in Los Angeles. Unfortunately it seems the only goods Garcia could offer at the time was the DVD’s release date. What about a one-sheet? A trailer? A freakin’ still?! Come on, give us something! Hopefully we won’t have to wait until October for some more MIRRORS 2 goods!
When Max, a recovering addict, takes a job as a night time security guard job at his father’s department store, he begins to see visions of a young woman in the store’s mirrors. Unsure whether his visions are side effects of his prescription sleeping pills or actual reality, he begins to look deeper into the source of the images in the mirrors. When employees of the store turn up dead and Max is a suspect in the murders, he must expose the girl’s connection to a scandal within the department store’s walls in order to prove his innocence and put a stop to the spirits in the mirrors.
