For me, the only thing that made the original RINGU-ish clone
ONE MISSED CALL worthwhile was director Takashi Miike’s in your face
approach to the material. Without him at the helm I doubt the “been there
done that too many times” flick would’ve worked me much. Hence, I can’t say
I’m too jazzed for the upcoming US remake (out on January 4, 2008).
Sure it stars kool ass Irish mofo Edward Burns and hottie for rent Shannyn
Sossamon; but personally… if I see one more film that sports a dark,
long and stringy haired ghost-girl in it; I’ll cut my nuts off and mail them to
Victor Salva so he can film them with his handy-cam. On that, here’s the
TRAILER for the ONE MISSED CALL REMAKE. What
say you guys and dolls? Yay or nay?
