Mist commentary

Is your favorite part of a DVD checking out the director’s commentary? You know, for movies you’ve seen a trillion times, listening intently on what was happening on the set that day, or what weird behind the scenes tidbits occurred during filming… or simply, why the filmmakers made some of the decisions they did.

You’re not alone. Most DVD freaks love that shite, which is why when a DVD is released without commentary, most feel gyped and the DVD goes down a few notches on the ‘coolness’ level.

Frank Daranbont, director of next Wednesday’s THE MIST, must like doing commentaries so much that he decided to do one for a 30 second clip of THE MIST over at Yahoo!Movies! That’s right, if you head OVER HERE, you can check out his commentary on a little scene from THE MIST… and if you’re already looking forward to it, this will likely send you over the edge.

Don’t worry, it’s a scene that’s all but shown in the trailers, so you won’t be spoiling anything if you go and check it out. Of course, when you see do see it next week, you may not be able to forget that Daranbont and a few grips are actually pulling the rope and NOT a monster in the mist, but that’s a risk you’ll have to take.

Have fun with the COMMENTARY, and get ready for THE MIST in theaters everywhere November 21st.
