With Freddy aka Robert Englund talking about his future entries as the gloved one, it’s only appropriate to talk about his current project, the serial-killer mockumentary BEHIND THE MASK, and it’s official site, which Fangoria reports has just gone live.
At the site, you can read up on the production info, see the trailer for the film as well as photos from the Scott Glosserman-directed film, as well as a link to Glosserman’s blog for the film (Flash 8 player is required to enter the site, not the blog). The site itself is nothing too flashy (no pun intended), but it gets the job done (especially the neato xylophone tune in the background) and the trailer switching back and forth between being serious to humourous and back again makes for a fun watch.
Still with the film, Glosserman tells Fango that the movie has been accepted into Austin, Texas’ South by Southwest Film Festival (which runs March 10-19), and the film’s website reflects it. Nice! Hopefully we’ll find out who the big winner is in terms of domestic distribution, since this really doesn’t deserve a direct-to-DVD distribution (unlike some films).
