Here’s the weird, David Lynch-y trailer for KEYHOLE, which comes from Canadian arthouse favorite Guy Maddin. Starring Jason Patric and Isabella Rossellini, the black & white thriller looks like a bizarre mindf*ck in the extreme. It’s also certain not to be for everybody, but I’m certainly intrigued by what they’re dishing out so far.

In the film, Patric portrays a gangster and deadbeat father who returns home after a long absence and begins a protracted journey through his rotting mausoleum of a house in search of his estranged wife, played by Rossellini.

KEYHOLE also stars Udo Kier, Louis Negin, Brooke Palsson and “Kids in the Hall” alumnus Kevin McDonald. As we told you last month, Independent distribution house Monterey Media picked up domestic distribution rights to the film and will release it sometime in 2012.
