I saw this update and I just had to pass the word along to all of you. I don’t know why I’m so stoked for INGLORIOUS BASTERDS. I’m not a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino’s and I thought the script was pretty good, but not great. So why am I so excited? Who knows. But today we’ve got a look at two new stills for the flick courtesy of Filmz.ru!

You can check those bad boys out above and below. Above obviously stars that chiseled mug of one Brad Pitt while the below shot is apparently the awesome scene where the Basterds face off against a group of Nazis. Lots of blood and bullets ensue! Awesome! BASTERDS is plowing through production time in hopes of being ready for the Cannes Film Festival in May. I suppose there’s a chance the rush of getting this movie out might diminish the product… but I doubt Tarantino would let that happen. Here’s what to expect with BASTERDS:

BASTERDS takes place in German-occupied France, where Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as “The Basterds,” Raine’s squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own…

I can’t wait… hopefully this one’ll be making the rounds by May, as planned. Keep it here for any other Nazi scalping updates!
