More Evil Dead?

JoBloJoBlo

I can almost guarantee that any time Sam Raimi goes out in public, any fan of Deadite-smashing pseudo-hero Ash brings up the question of whether we’ll see another EVIL DEAD movie.

Well, Raimi’s obviously out in public a lot lately, what with his little SPIDER-MAN movie hitting screens this week. So while he was promoting the Tobey-swinging flick, the Herald Sun (Australia’s biggest-selling daily newspaper, FYI) asked him about a new EVIL DEAD. The response: “I’m trying to get my brother, Ivan, to write the screenplay with me. He wrote ARMY OF DARKNESS, the third one, with me and we have been talking about another one, but we haven’t started work on it.

Apparently, groovy old pal Bruce Campbell and his buffoonish beast-battling are never far from Raimi’s mind. But seeing as how he’s probably a bit “in demand”, who knows whether Raimi will actually ever return to the franchise that defined his style (for either a sequel or the previously rumored remake/update).
