The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that FRINGE, the new paranormal series from producer JJ Abrams, just scored two more cast members in preparation of filming the series’ pilot episode.
A few weeks ago the new series scored two leads, and today the other two leads have been cast! John Noble and Lance Reddick are now on board the series, playing a scientist and special agent for Homeland Security, respectively.
The stars are big on TV, with Reddick a returning character on “The Wire,” but really, when it comes down to it… it doesn’t really matter who stars – the show’s gonna be good, or it isn’t, and with Abrams producing… I’m leaning towards good.
Plus, the guy has a knack for casting no-names, and doing something great – just see CLOVERFIELD for a cast of unknowns who deliver the goods.
As a refresher, FRINGE centers on a young female FBI agent who is forced to confront the spread of unexplained phenomena and work with Dr. Walter Bishop, an institutionalized scientist whose work might be at the center of the coming storm.
With the new X-FILES movie in the process of filming, maybe this is just the start of a new breed of supernatural FBI agents! Stick around for more on FRINGE as we hear it!
