A few weeks back we gave you a heads up about a little flick called MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YE DONE (check that out HERE), a flick with a crazy long and totally bizarre title, coming from director Werner Herzog and executive producer David Lynch. Bizarre title and filmmakers together on one bizarre project sounds interesting enough to make this sucker worth while.
According to Variety, the legendary Brad Dourif, Michael Pena, Bill Cobbs, Grace Zabriskie, and Udo Kier have all joined the cast of the MY SON, which previously included Michael Shannon. Dourif and Kier in one movie? Hells yeah.
As a refresher, MY SON is a sorta-true story of a San Diego man (Shannon) who acts out a Sophocles play in his mind and kills his mother with a sword. Like I said earlier, it’s bizarre… but would we expect anything less from Herzog and Lynch? I don’t think so. With the new cast members coming on board, this flick just got stamped with a whole new level of cool…
Stick around for more updates on MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YE DONE as they fly our way!
