The Motion Picture Association of America’s Classification and Ratings Administration released its weekly ratings bulletin, which includes ratings for a few flicks we’re very much looking forward to ’round here.
First up is [REC]2, which, to no one’s surprise, scored an R rating. The Magnolia release, which hits VOD on JUNE 4th and theaters in JULY, gets restricted due to “strong bloody violence, disturbing images and pervasive language.”
IFC’s THE KILLER INSIDE ME, which has been controversial from Day One, received an R rating for “disturbing brutal violence, aberrant sexual content and some graphic nudity.” Hot damn! I’ll be seeing this flick out in a couple weeks and will give you my rating soon after. (For now you can check out a Sundance review from JoBlo.com.)
The monster-in-the-sky thriller ALTITUDE, recently picked up by Anchor Bay, gets an R for “language and a sexual gesture”. Wow, that must be some gesture!
Finally, just a throw-in for the action fans out there, THE A-TEAM got hit with a PG-13 rating, for “intense sequences of action and violence throughout, language and smoking.” What, no sexual gestures involving Jessica Biel? Shiiiit.
