Mortal Kombat: New TV spot shows off more Kabal footage

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Look, I've made it no secret that I love mah man Kabal from the original Mortal Kombat games, and am fucking stoked that he's finally going to be in the new movie (especially after the blue balls single line mention in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation!) So, with the upcoming release of the reboot to theaters and HBO Max, new TV spots/trailer have been dropping online to whet our bloody appetites, and the new one has some new footage (including more of – ugh – Cole Young, which is only saved by the fact that at least Lewis Tan is cool), as well as more of Kabal (*Kermit waving his arms around gif*)!

You can now check out the new footage at the top of the article, and here is the official synopsis:

A washed-up mixed martial arts fighter named Cole Young is unaware of his hidden lineage or why he is being hunted down by Sub-Zero of the Lin-Kuei clan of assassins. Concerned for the safety of his family, he seeks out a clique of fighters that were chosen to defend Earthrealm in a high-stakes battle against the forces of Outworld in a inter-dimensional fighting tournament that occurs once in a generation. Appearances to be made by Shang Tsung, Goro, Jax Briggs, Sonya Blade, Kano, Scorpion and more fan favorites!

Mortal Kombat will be getting over here to select theaters and HBO Max April 16th!

So what do you guys think? And what kombatants do you want to see in the new film? Either way, sound off below!
