Variety reports that the final installment of Dario Argento’s THREE MOTHERS trilogy is ready to start filming in Rome this June. The pic’s title is THE MOTHER OF TEARS and was co-written by the dynamic duo of Jace Anderson and Adam Gierasch along with Argento.
Little is known of the specific plot outside of the fact it will be a tale of witches and suicides in contemporary Rome. Of course, it could be a tale of Peeps with Knives and Argento fans would still line up to see the long awaited completion of the director’s most beloved work.
According to Gimapaolo Letta, head of lead prodco Medusa, “This is going to be vintage Argento. Pretty strong stuff”.
