After spending years in development, Black Adam is currently in its final week of production. The DC film stars Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, a powerful anti-hero who has been imprisoned for more than 5000 years and who originally received his powers from the same ancient wizard who gave Shazam (Zachary Levi) his abilities. Johnson took to Instagram to share a new set photo which features destruction and our best look yet at Black Adam's suit. Check that out below!

"This image of Black Adam from behind gives you a tactile sense of the absolute massive scale and size of our movie," Johnson wrote. "You also see a little of the intricate and beautiful textured detail of Black Adam’s body suit. (this is not your typical DC or Marvel padded muscle suit) And finally you get a glimpse of the enormous and appropriate destruction. As we all know, superheroes have a code of justice and don’t kill the bad guys. But, Black Adam does." Dwayne Johnson also recently shared an image of what he promises will be a "very cutting edge" shot. It seems that this particular scene will involve some ultra slow-motion. Johnson explained: "This advanced robot arm called a BOLT is the fastest in the world with a high speed PHANTOM camera that shoots me at an insane 960 frames per second (normally movies are shot at 24 frames per second)."

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, Black Adam is also set to introduce the Justice Society as Noah Centineo is onboard to play Atom Smasher, with Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate. Black Adam is also slated to star Sarah Shahi as "a university professor and freedom fighter leading the resistance in Kahndaq," as well as Marwan Kenzari in a mysterious role expected to be the main villain. Mohammed Amer, James Cusati-Moyer, Uli Latukefu, and Bodhi Sabongui round out the rest of the cast.

Black Adam is currently slated to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.
