Blake Lively is set to lead the psychological Netflix thriller We Used To Live Here, based on the novella by Marcus Kliewer.

Netflix made the screen rights deal for the project after it gained some buzz in the industry when it was shopped last week. Lively will produce with Kate Vorhoff through her B for Effort banner along with Ground Control Entertainment's Scott Glassgold, and 6th and Idaho's Matt Reeves and Adam Kassan. The project came to Netflix through the 6th and Idaho first look deal while the novella deal reached a solid six figures.

The novella was published as part of Reddit's nosleep feature and the premise sounds pretty interesting. In the novella, a homeowner gets a knock at her door while her partner is at work. It's a husband, wife, and kids, who are rather peculiar. The man says he once lived in the house and wanted to take a look around. The homeowner is just getting used to the house herself and things get progressively weirder as a snowstorm strands the visitors as they won't leave. Soon the homeowner can't get rid of them and winds up sorry she ever opened the door as events progress.

This marks yet another Netflix project for Lively. She recently signed on to star in and produce their adaptation of Lady Killer, based on the Dark Horse Comic series.

Do YOU this project sounds interesting?
