Brie Larson reveals which Star Wars movie she missed out on

Brie Larson has made her desire to appear in a STAR WARS movie pretty well-known over the last few years. Larson is actually a fan of many big franchises that she would love to be a part of, including hustling for the lead gig as Samus Aran in a Metroid live-action movie and hoping she gets cast in an Animal Crossing movie if that should ever come to pass. As she waits for word on any of those gigs, Larson has finally revealed which STAR WARS movie she already missed on after previously admitting she had auditioned for one in the past but failed to land the role.

In a new interview, Brie Larson revealed exactly which STAR WARS she auditioned for but failed to land. While she doesn't say exactly which character she failed to land, she did appear on Gary Whitta's YouTube show Animal Talking, which covers all things Animal Crossing. Whitta also wrote ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY and he casually admitted that he has worked extensively in the STAR WARS universe which prompted the unprovoked reply from Larson:

"Oh yeah, you wrote Rogue One, right? I auditioned for that, I didn't get it."

The role most are assuming she auditioned for but missed out on is Jyn Erso, who went on to be played by Felicity Jones in the film. Jones ended up doing a great job in the film and while I could maybe see Larson doing it, I think Jones ended being a better fit for the character. When Larson previously dropped the initial STAR WARS audition news, she also revealed that she missed out on the role of Sarah Connor in TERMINATOR: GENISYS. That role ultimately went to Emilia Clarke and considering how that film turned out, Larson pretty much dodged a bullet. Larson also auditioned for the role of Katniss Everdeen in the HUNGER GAMES but lost out on that role to Jennifer Lawrence

Even though Larson missed out on a previous STAR WARS film, it has not stopped her from continuing to pine away for any role in one of the upcoming STAR WARS movies. Larson's clout has certainly grown since she first tried to get into the STAR WARS universe with an Oscar win for ROOM and now being a part of the MCU via CAPTAIN MARVEL and AVENGERS: ENDGAME. I have a feeling if she attempted to audition again, she may just get to play in the STAR WARS sandbox.

Do YOU think Brie Larson would be good in a STAR WARS film? Should she have been in ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY?
