Cool Videos: The original opening for Return of the Jedi

JoBloJoBlo

Somehow over the weekend we missed this.

Thanks to longtime reader, Smooveluv it is now in our possession and ready for your viewing pleasure.

This weekend in Orlando, Florida during Star Wars Celebration V, George Lucas and friends (Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher) introduced the never before seen original opening for RETURN OF THE JEDI.

Luke is introduced a bit differently in this opening. Instead of appearing in a holographic recording, he finishes work on his lightsaber. Why does that get the geek blood rushing? It shows that he is now a Jedi master. The clip isn’t very long, but it’s cool to get some sort of “deleted material” from the films.

Getting all 6 films on Blu-ray in 2011 won’t be too shabby either.
