I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but I feel like the more footage they show from THE WOLVERINE the better I start to feel. Let’s clarify– I didn’t feel awful going into it, after all it is Wolverine. However, ORIGINS left a bad taste in my mouth for several reasons. Logan seems to do well in the X-MEN films but hasn’t had much luck out there on his own. I have hopes that THE WOLVERINE will change that, or at the very least will serve as a palette cleanser.
A new and spoilery featurette titled “A Ronin’s Story” gives more insight into the plot of the film. There’s a good bit of new footage here. Not to mention that we figure out more about the Silver Samurai-robot confusion. The overall theme here is Logan’s state of mind and facing the possibility that he can be killed.
