Elizabeth Olson talks the main villain of Civil War & why it’s the best film

In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, an incident leads to the Avengers developing a schism over how to deal with situations, which escalates into an open fight between allies Iron Man and Captain America. Lines will be drawn and battles will be fought, but while we know that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers will become the cutest frienemies this side of Marvel, there is a true villain behind the scenes. Scarlet Witch herself, Elizabeth Olsen, was more than happy to confirm who it is, as well as why CIVIL WAR will be the best Marvel movie made thus far.

Elizabeth Olson on CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR:

I think it's going be the best one. FOR REAL, I'm very excited to see it myself. I only worked on-set for 5 weeks so I wasn't there for the majority of it. Daniel Bruhl is an incredible actor and he's playing the main villain – he's incredible. It's a movie about people as opposed to robots this time – it's darker and it's allowed to be darker because it gets more in the mindset of humans rather than machines.

A casting call confirmed Daniel Bruhl would be playing Baron Zemo some time ago, although how this iteration will differ from the comics is up in the air. As Olson noted, CIVIL WAR looks to be a much darker affair than AGE OF ULTRON given the tumultuous relationship between all of Marvel's heroes. Adding Zemo into the mix should prove interesting if done right.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
