Production is underway on the KICKBOXER remake, and Radar Films has announced HAYWIRE star and mixed martial artist Gina Carano has been cast in the film. Carano will play a fight promoter, and will star alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dave Bautista (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY), Georges St. Pierre (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER), Alain Moussi and Thai model Sara Malakul Lane in the remake.

It will be fun to watch Gina as the sneaky and dangerous temptress, a boa constrictor of this fighting jungle. Watch out kickboxers!
John Stockwell's (IN THE BLOOD, TURISTAS) KICKBOXER will follow "Kurt Sloan (Moussi), a talented martial artist who travels to Thailand where he must learn the secrets of the kickboxer to avenge his brother's death at the hands of Tong Po (Bautista)," with Jean-Claude Van Damme playing mentor Xian Chow.
