Incredible! The Incredibles 2 to be released a year earlier

Who doesn't like THE INCREDIBLES (because if you don't, we probably can't be friends)? And, furthermore, who hasn't been clamouring for a sequel? See, unlike other Pixar sequels (like FINDING DORY, MONSTERS UNIVERSITY, or *shudder* CARS 2), THE INCREDIBLES seems ripe for one, due to the inherent serialized nature of superhero stories, as well as the endlessly endearing characters. And while TOY STORY had it's sequels tell a story about Andy growing up and his changing relationship with his toys, the other sequels, in my opinion, seem superfluous at best (even the solid FINDING DORY was nothing compared to the original). So the fact that an INCREDIBLES sequel is on its way (after all these years!) is exciting news.

Even better? It's coming a year earlier! Originally slated to be released in the summer of 2019, THE INCREDIBLES 2 has been pushed up a year to 2018, switching places with TOY STORY 4 (which I was just reminded is a thing that is happening). Also apparently a third CARS movie is slated to come out next year too. Ugh.

But let's not let that news ruin a good thing. There's going to be INCREDIBLES, baby! Can't wait!

THE INCREDIBLES 2 will fly into theaters June 15th, 2018. Meanwhile, TOY STORY 4 will be released about a year later on June 21st, 2019 and that f*cking CARS sequel will roll into theaters June 16th, 2017.
