Jennifer Aniston and Dennis Quaid in talks to join Dan Schechter's adaptation of The Switch

Things are moving quickly on Dan Schechter's THE SWITCH (that title will likely be changed). John Hawkes and Mos Def were recently cast in the roles of Louis Gara and Ordell Robbie, characters seen in JACKIE BROWN. Now two more cast members are possibly soon to join.

Jennifer Aniston and Dennis Quaid are currently in talks to board the Elmore Leonard adaptation scripted by Schechter. If both join, which I've been told is basically in the bag, this is where they would fit into the story:

"Aniston is in talks to play Mickey Dawson, and Quaid to play her crooked real estate developer husband. She’s kidnapped and ransomed by two ex-cons (Hawkes and Def) and when the lowlife husband sees this as a way to get rid of his wife and refuses to pay the ransom, the kidnappers embrace a new opportunity: teaming with a pissed off bombshell housewife to get all of her husband’s money."

It's being reported that this is not actually being looked at as a prequel to JACKIE BROWN since Leonard tends to use the same characters in other books. Two more roles are soon to be cast and apparently are also very "exciting names". I can tell you I'm definitely excited about Quaid.

Extra Tidbit: I might have shit talked Aniston, but I think she dropped the ball after roles in OFFICE SPACE and THE GOOD GIRL. The last film I really liked her in was MANAGEMENT. I'm probably one of few on that one. Still haven't seen HORRIBLE BOSSES. I've heard good things.
