A second THE REVENANT trailer has been released, and it is just as impressive as the first one. The latest trailer for the Alejandro G. Iñárritu-Western thriller features a solid amount of new footage, including a longer look at the grizzly bear attack on Leonardo DiCaprio's Hugh Glass, and more of Tom Hardy's John Fitzgerald character. While I'm really pumped for SUICIDE SQUAD and would have loved to have seen Hardy star in it, I think he made the right call by dropping out of the comic book movie so he could do THE REVENANT.

Synopsis:
Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption.
It seems like everyone involved with THE REVENANT brought their A-game, and there's a good chance the movie will take home a bunch of trophies come awards season. But more than anything, I really want DiCaprio to finally win a Best Actor Oscar. Who do you think will be the actor's biggest competitor for the award?
THE REVENANT will have a limited release on December 25 before opening wide on January 8, 2016.
