After venturing down a long and winding road on the way to developing METHUSELAH, a thriller about a man who has somehow remained alive for over 400 years, Warner Bros. has decided to re-purpose the project for CREED and BLACK PANTHER star Michael B. Jordan. As per the new set up, Jordan's Outlier Society label will produce alongside Heyday’s David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford.

The WB has reportedly been attempting a go at METHUSELAH for several years, while making their way through a plethora of writers for the endeavor, which at one point included MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE lead Tom Cruise in the starring role. Deadline reports that METHUSELAH will line Jordan up to play a man who has managed to survive for hundreds of years, without showing the physical signs of age. In that time, he has accumulated vast intellectual knowledge, from multiple languages to the sciences, as well as survival skills. Mmm, so it's like a Dorian Gray sort of thing, but without the hidden room filled with supernatural paintings? I can dig that.

For the moment, Jordan has a number of films in the hopper, with his most recent role for director Destin Daneil Cretton's JUST MERCY having recently moved into post-production. Jordan plays Bryan Stevenson in the upcoming drama, which stars CAPTAIN MARVEL's Brie Lasron, Jamie Foxx and Tim Blake Nelson, among others. The CHRONICLE alum is also expected to star in WRONG ANSWER for Ryan Coogler, a film that centers on a math teacher in Atlanta who is scandalized when he looks to get funding for his school by altering his students' test scores. Given the recent college admissions scandal involving FULL HOUSE alumna Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, among other members of the Hollywood elite, Coogler's WRONG ANSWER will likely arrive as a hot ticket for anyone still feeling burnt by the idea of achievements being falsified for personal gain.
