Monster director Patty Jenkins could be the helmer for Thor 2

This is definitely an interesting choice if it comes to fruition.

It looks like MONSTER director Patty Jenkins could be the one to direct the sequel to THOR. What’s cool is that she would be the first lady director to take on a Marvel comics film. No negotiations going on as of yet, she is only being eyed right now.

There was rumor that Brian Kirk, who has directed several episodes of GAMES OF THRONES was in early negotiations to helm the sequel. Turns out it never got that far, he never got past the meeting stage. Although, that would have been a pretty cool choice.

Kenneth Branagh decided a few months ago that he would not carry the helming torch but instead would be involved as a producer.

Jenkins has not directed any features since MONSTER. She’s actually been doing more tv stuff by directing episodes for shows like ENTOURAGE, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, and THE SARAH SILVERMAN PROGRAM.
