New red-band trailer for 22 Jump Street with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill

A new red-band trailer for 22 JUMP STREET is here, featuring more foul-mouthed antics from two of the worst/best cops ever; Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. The sequel to the surprise hit 21 JUMP STREET has the duo reteaming for another big-time drug dealing case, only this time they head to college instead of high school. Directed once again by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (THE LEGO MOVIE), the film brings back a good amount of the cast from the first film, including Ice Cube, Nick Offerman, Dave Franco, and Rob Riggle, while adding some new blood, including Peter Stormare, Jillian Bell, and muthaf*ckin' Richard Grieco (IF LOOKS COULD KILL, what's up?). Plenty of new footage with lots of swearing, debauchery, violence, and humor to go around in this one.

"There's a grenade in my shorts":

Here's the synopsis:

After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don't have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

Like many of you, I expected the worst from 21 JUMP STREET until I saw the trailer, which got me into the theater. Since then, it's known as the movie that reversed my opinion on Channing Tatum, given that he's got actual comedic talent that had yet to be exploited till then, and has made good use of Jonah Hill's own comedy skills when he's not out trying to win Oscars. With Lord and Miller back at the helm I have a lot of faith that this will be, at the very least, a worthy follow up that's on par with the original.

22 JUMP STREET blasts into theaters on June 13, 2014.
