New season of Curb Your Enthusiasm on its way to HBO!

The king of cringe comedy, Larry David, is back for more awkward situations with a new season of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM on the way from HBO. It'll be the ninth season of the long-running series, which (at the time) officially ended six years ago in 2011. The new season will premiere October 1st of this year.

Meanwhile, fan favorites Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, and JB Smoove are expected to return along with David.

In my opinion, this is great news, as I loved CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM...even if it was sometimes hard to sit through with how awkward it got. I remember Mindy Kaling guest-starring as a nurse who comforts David after a tragedy...but then chastises him for hugging too long, and the ensuing conversation was both very funny, while also so cringe-inducing I think my face still has creases from it. The show is an acquired taste, for sure, but it's one I've definitely developed. I personally can't wait!

Any other CURB fans out there? And if so, what are some of your favorite episodes? Sound off below!

Extra Tidbit: The episode where Dustin Hoffman plays an angel who gets mad about Larry's "system" for organizing DVDs is still a highlight of the show for me.
