New TV spot for Peter Berg’s Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg features new footage

The adaptation of Marcus Luttrell's LONE SURVIVOR has been a long time coming and it's finally hitting the big screen courtesy of director Peter Berg, who spent more than five years trying to get the film made. Starring Mark Wahlberg (as Luttrell), Eric Bana, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster, Jerry Ferrera, and Alexander Ludwig, the film chronicles the real-life events during Operation Redwings, a mission involving four members of SEAL Team 10 who were outnumbered and outgunned after making a fateful decision, leaving only one man behind to tell the tale. Today, we have a new TV spot for the film, which has been getting some great buzz from early screenings.

I can fight:

As a combat veteran movies like this will always be tough for me, but I couldn't be happier to see them being made. It's easy to get wrapped up in the politics of war and forget about the real people that fight them and I'm beyond pleased to have Berg and the rest of the cast bring this to life. In addition to those great talents, composer Steve Jablonsky is also on board working with the Texas-based group Explosions in the Sky for the film's score, which is the same group that did the music for Berg's excellent FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. For score afficianados, that's something to be excited about.

LONE SURVIVOR opens in limited release on December 27, 2013 and goes wide on January 10, 2014.
