Spider-Man: Homecoming toys give us a better look at Vulture & Spidey

Spider-Man: Homecoming Hasbro toys

Thanks to toy companies, we frequently get our first looks at new costumes, vehicles and characters from upcoming movies via their toys (I'm looking at you POWER RANGERS). To that end, Hasbro has unveiled the first toys for their upcoming SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING lineup, and while we've already seen most of what they have to offer in the trailers, they do give us a slightly better look at a few choice characters, namely Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and the Vulture (Michael Keaton). After catching a brief glimpse of Peter Parker's homemade Spidey suit in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, Hasbro's toy lets us absorb the full power of Parker's sleeveless hoodie and sweat-pants. That's going right up on the shelf. In addition to a better look at Michael Keaton's Vulture suit, we also see Spider-Man with his very own Spider-Mobile, which, naturally, fires Nerf darts.

I know these are just toys for kids, but why are they always giving Spider-Man a car? That's what we want to see, Spider-Man driving to the scene of a crime. Even the toy version of Spidey looks as though he's questioning the logic.

The official synopsis for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING will swing into theaters on July 7, 2017.
