Steven Yeun goes from The Walking Dead into Mayhem

Steven Yeun is going to take a break from zombies… and somehow still manage to step right into the middle of MAYHEM.

Yeun will be starring in MAYHEM for EVERLY filmmaker Joe Lynch. The independent action flick will see him working opposite Australian actress Samara Weaving where he will played a fired attorney trapped in a quarantined building as a virus quickly spreads that makes people proceed with their wildest impulses. Needless to say, he’s going to have to fight to survive until he can get out of that corportate hellhole.

Yeun, best known as Glenn on THE WALKING DEAD, hasn’t ventured too far outside of television since the show’s launch, which made him well-known. It looks like that’s about to change, which is always a good plan when you’re a regular on a show where anyone can die at any time. Might be time to expand your work options, if you know what I mean.

MAYHEM is expected to go into production later this month.
