We already knew that the new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES movie will be released in 2013 and directed by Jonathan Liebesman (WRATH OF THE TITANS). What we didn’t know was that… well, what we didn’t know might well change a few people’s minds about wanting to see the movie. Personally I can dig it, though more out of curiousity for the lore/mythology of it than anything else. But here goes:
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES is being produced by Platinum Dunes, Michael Bay’s remake factory of fun, and in his recent speech at the 2012 Nickelodeon Upfront Bay had this to say: “these turtles are going to be tough, edgy, funny, and completely lovable.” Oh, and they’ll be “an alien race.” Yep, “when you see this movie, kids are going to believe one day that these turtles actually do exist.”
