The Golden Globes nominations are here! The Artist leads the way with 6 noms

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The nominations for the 69th Annual Golden Globes were announced earlier this morning by Sofia Vergara, Gerarad Butler, Rashida Jones and Woody Harrelson. Leading the pack with six nominations was THE ARTIST followed closely by THE DESCENDANTS, THE HELP and Madonna’s W.E.? Yes, that should show you how suspect the Golden Globes really are. They fell unusually in love with THE IDES OF MARCH, a so-so film, and nominated Ryan Gosling twice for acting awards but never for his best performance of the year (in DRIVE).

THE HELP did very well with three total acting noms for its cast and HUGO was a surprise addition to the Best Picture race. While DRAGON TATTOO scored nominations for Rooney Mara and Trent Reznor, the film and director David Fincher weren’t nominated.

Below we have a list of all the film-related nominations but for the full list including all the TV noms, click here to head to the official Globes nomination page.
