Third The Conjuring Film’s Title Revealed

The first two CONJURING movies are a perfect horror film pair. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson bring a wonderful humanity to their roles as Lorraine and Ed Warren that is so watchable. They make an incredible team! Thankfully, we are getting a third entry in THE CONJURING saga (kind of a no-brainer considering the bofo box office for parts 1 and 2) and the full title for the flick has just been released: THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT is slotted to hit theaters on September 11, 2020. Here's the plot details:

One of the most sensational cases from Ed and Lorraine Warren's files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.

That's definitely an interesting scenario and definitely different from what we've seen before. My only concern is that James Wan, who directed parts 1 and 2, isn't behind the camera for this installment. The reins have now been handed to Michael Chaves who made the not-too-well-received THE CURSE OF LA LLORONA. At least Wan is still on board as a producer, so hopefully he is still able to help part 3 reach the same standard as the previous two. Time will tell.

THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT stars Farmiga and Wilson (obviously) as well as Ruairi O'Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook and Julian HIlliard.
